Madrid, 15 November 2010 – adidas unveils the new jersey to be worn by the Spanish football team in their qualifying matches leading up to UEFA EURO 2012™.  This jersey features a special addition – the badge awarded to the team today by FIFA™ as winners of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.

This jersey is born from within, stemming from our passion for “La Roja” (“the Reds”), a passion which we feel, share, live and dream, thanks to our team.  The new red, the jersey of the World Champions, is born from these attributes which mark our new status as champions.

A dynamic design, reflecting the style on the pitch, contains strips of electric blue down the sides and on the shoulders to match the shorts.  A yellow line running around the v-neck collar, symbolising the Spanish flag, gives it an added touch of grandeur.

But above all, it pays great tribute to our champions, complete with the gold star on the badge, the stitching “FIFA World Champions 2010” on the inside of the collar and the World Cup Champions badge awarded by FIFA™.

The new jersey of the Spanish football Federation will be worn for the first time on November 17th at the friendly match Portugal-Spain in Lisbon.
